<p><strong>About Dr. Tseng</strong></p>
<p>Dr. Tseng was raised in Los Angeles where he attended Harvard-Westlake School, was a National Merit Semi-Finalist and a top-ranked tennis player on the US National Junior Tennis team. He earned his B.A. (1997) in Biology with a concentration in Economics at Columbia University, NY where he was on the Dean's List all four years and on the Varsity Tennis Team. He continued at Columbia University and received his M.D. (2002). He completed a combined residency in General Surgery and Plastic Surgery at University of Chicago Medical Center, IL (2008). He then completed a combined fellowship in Cosmetic Surgery and Reconstructive Surgery at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA in 2009.</p>
<p>Dr. Tseng&nbsp;has presented papers at the American Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery, American Society for Plastic Surgery, Plastic Surgery Research Council and World Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery among others. He has also published papers in peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of Reconstructive Microsurgery and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.</p>
<p>Dr. Tseng's honors and accomplishments are impressive. He has received from the NIH a Dean's Research Fellowship as well as an Institutional Research Grant. He was a finalist in the Associated Medical Schools of New York (AMSNY) Medical Student Research Awards. While at Columbia University he received the Dean's Prize for Medical Research for his research in Schwann Cell Migration and Peripheral Nerve Regeneration in the Autogenous Venous Nerve Conduit, the Biomedical Research Prize and a Research Fellowship at the Center for Restorative Surgery. He also won the Best Research Presentation and Paper at the Midwestern Association of Plastic Surgery for his 'Pedicle Preservation Technique for Arterial and Venous Turbocharging of Free Deep Inferior Epigastric Perforator Flaps' paper.</p>
<p>Dr. Tseng will concentrate his practice at Santa Monica UCLA Hospital as a member of the UCLA Medical Group and representative of the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.</p>

<p><strong>Chemical Peels</strong> are a chemical solution, usually TCA (trichloroacetic acid) which is applied to the skin,causing the skin to blister and peel off over a period of 5-10 days. As the treated skin peels off, new more fresh skin replaces it.Chemical peels are a suitable procedure for facial rejuvenation and diminishing the effects of sun damage.Works best on fair , thin skin with superficial wrinkles.</p>
<p><strong>Dermabrasion</strong> is a scraping of the top layers of the skin.This procedure softens edges of surface irregularities,including fine wrinkles and acne scars,especially around the mouth.The results are permanent, however new wrinkles may form as skin ages.</p>
<p><strong>Restylane and Juvederm Utra </strong>are injectable gels used as soft tissue fillers to treat wrinkles and fill lips. Both are composed of hyaluronic acid a substance found in all living organisms. No allergy skin tests are required.<br />These dermal fillers are often used in conjunction with <strong>Botox</strong> for optimum results, especially for rejuvenation of the upper face, and diminshing the appearance of frown lines. Both products last between 4-6 months.</p>
<p><strong>Juv&eacute;derm Ultra</strong> injectable gel is a gel consisting of hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in your skin that helps to add volume and hydration. Therfore no allergy test is necessary before treatment. The smooth consistency gel helps to instantly restore your skin's volume and smooth away facial wrinkles and folds, like your "smile lines" or nasolabial folds-the creases that run from the bottom of your nose to the corners of your mouth. It is also used with much success for lip augmentation A Juv&eacute;derm treatment takes about 20-30 minutes and results are immediate. Plus, there's minimal recovery or downtime.</p>
